Sol 1 was part of Kyle Sven’s exhibition titled Look Up, Look Out, Earth is the Antidote. The project encourages viewers to rethink their connection to the sky and the effects of modern living. It draws the gaze upward to the stars fading from view, and outward to the earth that nurtures us, positioning nature as a healing force.
Kyle Sven is a South African born photographer and director based in Dublin, Ireland. His work is heavily influenced by his personal relationship with gender and sexual identity, exploring themes of masculinity, vulnerability, and the human form. Through bold, graphic, and often provocative imagery, Sven introduces the viewer to an alternate world. Subverting gender roles and challenging the status quo, his work expands the imagination and expectations of beauty.
