Niall Staines is a Dublin-based Irish digital artist known for transforming familiar landscapes into surreal, dreamlike compositions. His work blends photography, collage, and digital manipulation to explore the fragile line between nature and technology — a tension expressed through vibrant color gradients, distortion, and abstraction.
Staines’ pieces often reimagine urban and natural scenes as fragmented reflections of emotion, memory, and place. Using glitch techniques and layered textures, he creates atmospheric worlds that feel both intimate and otherworldly.
His series Isolation (2022), exhibited at Hang Tough Contemporary, examined connection and disconnection in the digital age, while Dublin Glitches reinterpreted his home city as a shifting digital landscape. Staines’ work has been featured by Totally Dublin, Aesthetica Magazine, and Holm & Himmel, and is held in private collections in Ireland and abroad.
Through his ongoing digital practice, Staines continues to explore how technology reshapes perception — revealing beauty in distortion and stillness in the glitch.
